MDE (Inside Sales) at SLC

The Meeting Development Executive (MDE) position is an excellent opportunity for someone to continue a career in the challenging field of business development - prospecting, navigating database tools, and building new sales pipeline activity.  The position offers opportunity to develop enterprise selling skills, interact with C-Level executives at Fortune 2000 companies, and advance within SLC. 

Meeting Development Executives are required to:

  • Meet/exceed weekly objectives in scheduling, coordinating, confirming and executing meetings on behalf of our clients.
  • Work and learn the SLC System sales approach for a unique prospecting methodology, follow the process, and integrate specific project messaging.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive and professional image of SLC and our clients with all written and verbal communication.
  • Track daily activity, account volume and progress to manage workflow in the SLC database.  
  • Confirm and coordinate through necessary communications to assure all participating parties involved (client and prospects) have the necessary information  for a successful engagement.

Ideal Candidate will have:

Required Skills/Education

  • Experience in prospecting campaigns for solutions with complex sales cycles.
  • Experience creating enterprise level meetings and appointments preferred!
  • Goal-oriented self-starter, able to work with a high degree of autonomy and deliver on commitments.
  • Must be professional, confident, and ethical.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Possess excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Hard-working & flexible in job responsibilities.
  • Proven analytical problem solver.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

You will be calling on and prospecting to a very specific and targeted audience.  IT, professional services, management consulting, and or software sales background preferred.  ^top

Outside Sales (selling direct for SLC)

As an Outside Sales Executive for SLC, you will be selling our performance based business development services. We put our clients face to face with decision making executives, in their target markets, and offer a dynamic overlay of services to help them achieve their sales goals.  The Outside Sales Representative is accountable for working closely with new prospects to help gather business environment data, guide clients for set-up based on product benefits/features and qualifying information needed to develop a successful campaign.

Ideal candidate will have:

Required skills/education

  • Two to five years experience selling marketing and sales solutions to VPs of Marketing and Sales within various B2B vertical markets. 
  • A minimum of 1-2 years outbound marketing-by-phone experience; preferred 1-2 years inside sales experience and/or specific lead generation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to discover and understand business goals and pains, challenge appropriately and create relevant solutions.
  • Ability to be persistent, self-reliant, and enthusiastic.
  • An aptitude to learn technical product information.
  • A team-player attitude; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate confidence and be success orientated.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable meeting face to face with prospects and strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills!
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
